They were made and used up until the 1930s, when the more common straight-sided ones came into use, so these are probably from the 19th/early 20th century. They were hand made, so all have lovely little bubbles and imperfections in the glass. We were thrilled to find a good haul of them in France and all are in very good condition for their age, but please expect imperfections, slightly rough edges etc. but no cracks or breaks. Each one is slightly different - all part of the charm. They are perfect for serving jams or chutneys, look very pretty with flowers in, or as a little trinket dish. I keep two by the cooker filled with salt and pepper.
