Decorative Country Living is a small team, dedicated to providing the best possible service, with friendliness and courtesy. We work hard to find the unique range of items shown on our website; some are new, some designed and made exclusively for us and some are antique, found in markets and brocantes. The antique items are obviously one-offs and therefore only available on a first-come-first-served basis; whilst we make every effort to update the website as frequently as possible, disappointment can sometimes occur. In these instances, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do everything we can to source something similar for you.

Where you see this button...
...simply click to add the item to your shopping basket. You can then either return to the website to continue shopping, or go on to our secure checkout, where you will see the total charges, including delivery. You can view the contents of your basket at any time by clicking 'View Basket' at the top right of each main page.
  
For your peace of mind and for maximum security, credit card processing is handled by HSBC Secure ePayments service. When payment is complete, simply click the button to return to our online store.
We accept Visa, Mastercard and Switch/Maestro or Decorative Country Living Gift Vouchers.
We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. We aim to hold stock of all styles and colours etc., whilst a product is active. However, occasionally an item will be out of stock and if this is the case this will be highlighted in your shopping basket.

All prices quoted on this website are accurate at the time of publication and are quoted in pounds sterling (£) and where appropriate are inclusive of UK sales tax (VAT) at the current rate. If your order is being despatched to a destination outside the European Community (EC) then your sales tax will be zero. Any customs or import duties levied once the package reaches your destination country will be your responsibility as we have no control over these charges and cannot predict them.

Stock permitting, orders are usually despatched within 2 working days, to arrive with UK customers within 5-7 working days. In the event that an item is temporarily out of stock, we will notify you of the delay and despatch it as soon as it arrives.
A delivery charge* will be added to your order value where appropriate, as follows:

UK destinations (excluding Channel Islands):

For Channel Islands and overseas destinations, delivery is charged at cost; where necessary, please contact us for a price.

* Items in the Furniture section (new Beds, Sofas, Armchairs and Headboards) include delivery to mainland UK in the price.

† Please note: on most larger items, delivery is calculated on volume (ie. size) instead of weight.

Some UK areas (eg. Scottish Highlands & Islands) are subject to a delivery surcharge on the above items, explained in detail here. Where appropriate, please add the necessary surcharge to your shopping basket when prompted.

We use Abbey Shipping for our antique and furniture deliveries.

Cancellation (Back to top)

Your Right To Cancel: you may cancel your order (once accepted by us), for any reason, up to the point of despatch. If you do cancel the contract within this time any payments made by you will be refunded in full within 30 days.

Returns & Refunds (Back to top)

All goods sold are covered by the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations, which allow for a seven day 'cooling off' period during which you may cancel your order (in writing) by sending us a letter, fax or e-mail at any time up to and including the seventh working day after the day on which you received your purchase.
Goods must be returned to Decorative Country Living within 14 days after date of receiving the item, for a full refund or exchange, provided that:

1. The goods are returned in the same condition they were sold, including all original packaging materials.
2. The goods are a normal stock item and have not been specially ordered at the customer’s request.
3. Delivery & collection charges are not refundable.
4. A valid receipt or proof of purchase is produced.

Faulty goods, where the fault is due to manufacturing defect, will be exchanged or refunded where possible within the first 14 days of purchase.

Damaged goods must be reported to Decorative Country Living within 48 hours of delivery of the goods. After this time we cannot accept responsibility for damage reported.

We take every care to ensure that the description and specification of our products are correct at the time of going to press. However, while the colour reproduction of the products is a close representation, we cannot accept any responsibility for any variation in colour caused by the browser software or computer system used by you.
